Here are my network properties, if that helps, plus the results of the latest 'fix':ĭescription: Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller However, the reset usually changes this back to default
Under Power Management the adapter is set to Do not allow the PC to turn off this device to save power. At other times it'll work for a couple of hours before disconnecting. I usually literally have to run the troubleshooter several times to get a minute of internet. I'm not a techie, so any tips would be much appreciated. Yesterday it was resetting "Adapter 3", but today it's resetting "Adapter 4". I then usually have access for a few more seconds before the connection is lost and I have to run the troubleshooter again. I run the troubleshooter and it always resets the network adapter, then either fixes the default gateway or fixes the "doesn't have a valid IP". Sometimes the Wi-Fi icon says I'm connected, other times it doesn't, but the internet never works for more than a few seconds. Hi there, this is not actually a laptop problem - it's a desktop PC connecting via an access point.Įvery time I start the PC I have to run the Windows network connection troubleshooter. Your driver is up to date - if you have a problem with your driver, you can try to re-install the old version as below. *: 2K=Windows 2000, 2K3= Windows 2003, XP= Windows XP, VISTA = Windows Vista, WIN7 = Windows 7 Watch this video to see how it works - click here
If your driver isn't working, use the driver having the same OEM with the your laptop/desktop brand name. If you are looking for an update, pickup the latest one. With the different devices, they can have the same driver, it's because they all use the same chip manufacturer.
Below is a list of drivers that may be suitable for your device.
